I am a 2022 UTeach graduate, and I have been tutoring full time for the last four years. I started tutoring in college because of Sandy, and now we have too many students for the two of us to handle on our own. This is how Pro Teacher Tutors started.

As a long-time tutor and former high school math teacher, I believe that every student has the potential to learn and excel in school. Each of our tutors is chosen for their ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment that honors each student's unique learning style and takes the anxiety out of schoolwork.
Our tutors are passionate about teaching and take pride in finding creative ways to explain complex concepts. The ultimate goal is to help students develop a love of learning and the confidence to succeed in any endeavor.

I was raised in a family of teachers who nurtured my love of learning and instilled a deep appreciation for excellence in teaching.
My formal credentials include a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech, a PhD in Civil Engineering from UT, and a Professional Engineering License.
I worked twenty plus years as an engineer in various fields including petrochemical, nuclear, and water resources. I returned to education in 2006 as a chemistry and physics teacher at Anderson High School. I later joined the faculty at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School where I taught physics until my retirement in 2022.
As a tutor, I continue to enjoy sharing my practical experiences in engineering and science education with a new generation of learners.

I’m a third year math major at UT. I was the valedictorian of my high school in Houston with a 4.0 GPA. I’m in the UTeach program working towards certification.
I’ve always had a passion for many different activities including band, tennis, and cooking, but my biggest passion of all is definitely teaching. I learned from a young age that helping people achieve something that they thought they never could is one of the best gifts in life.

I’m a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Public Health, and I’m currently student teaching Biology at McCallum High School as I work toward my teaching certification. I grew up in Brownsville, TX, and I’m fluent in Spanish.

I love helping students feel confident in what they’re learning and making the process less stressful (and hopefully a little more fun!).

Outside of teaching, you’ll usually find me at the movies, hanging out at a coffee shop, spending time with friends, or with my church family.

I'm a senior at LASA high school, and I'm planning to study conservation or marine biology in college. I've always loved teaching, I find it really meaningful to encourage people even when they're struggling and try to help them understand the "why" behind what they're doing so they can be truly confident about a topic.
Outside of school, I work at a local farm and enjoy spending time in nature and listening to music.

I’m a graduate student at Arizona State University working on my Master’s in Robotics and Autonomous Systems. My background is in physics, computer science, and math, and I’ve worked with students from K–12 all the way through college. I really enjoy breaking down complicated ideas into simple, concrete examples that actually make sense, and I try to make math, physics, and computer science feel a lot less intimidating.

Outside of tutoring, I’m a big fan of video games—Final Fantasy is a favorite—and I’m definitely a cat person (even though I don’t have one of my own yet).
